* From the Tenement Museum, walk south on Orchard St. towards Delancey St. Brows the small shops along the way. Arrive at the historic Guss’ Pickles.
* Head back North on Orchard, make a right on Broome, left on Essex St. The Essex Street Market will be on your left, between Delancey and Rivington Street, which has lots of produce and sweets (and even a butchers shop which doubles as an art gallery).
* Walk north on Essex St, make a left on Stanton St. After crossing Ludlow St., Arlene’s Grocery, (the famous grocery-turned music venue) will be on your left.
* Make a left out Arlene’s Grocery. Turn right on Orchard St., cross Houston St. and make a Right to enter Katz’s Deli, known for its famous pastrami sandwiches. |
